Why We Skip the Web Forms

Every car problem is a conversation with follow-ups. Does the noise change with speed? Did it start after the rain? Is the light blinking or steady? A form can't ask, so it collects half a story and everyone waits a day to trade emails about the other half.

Texting Works; Photos Help Most

A picture of the dash cluster with its warning lights, the puddle under the engine, the frayed belt you spotted. Each one skips a paragraph of description. Add the car's year, make, and model, plus where it's parked, and you've basically written our work order for us.

Voicemails work too. Symptom, name, callback number. During the workday we return them fast, usually as soon as the current job's hands-washing moment arrives.

One more texting trick worth knowing: drop a pin. If the car died somewhere without a clean address (a trailhead lot, the far corner of a park and ride, that gravel stretch behind the marina), a shared location pin beats five texts of description and gets the truck to the right spot the first time.

Hours and Honest Expectations

We run weekday daytimes. Call before 10 am and same day is a real possibility. Call at 4 pm and you're probably meeting us tomorrow, though a completely stranded car always gets a shot at squeezing in.

Nights and weekends, text the details anyway. You'll be first in line when the schedule opens, and sometimes an early Saturday slot materializes for the truly stuck. No promises, but it happens.

Calling From a Dead Car Right Now?

Deep breath. If you're somewhere safe (a driveway, a lot, a quiet street), stay with the car and call. If you're on a highway shoulder or blocking a lane, get yourself away from traffic first and tell us that immediately, because unsafe locations change the plan and sometimes the first responder should be a tow to somewhere calmer, not a mechanic with a meter.

When you call, we'll want five things: where the car is, what it did when you tried to start or drive it, the year, make, and model, whether any lights are on the dash, and how the car behaved in the days before. Can't talk? Text the same five things to the same number. Either way, you'll get a real arrival window and a human who already knows your story when the truck pulls up. That alone takes most of the panic out of a dead-car morning.
